64 flats divided in two buildings completed in 2016

The project called Taklampan 1 - also using the TermoDeck system - is designed to save energy and minimize operating costs.
PhotoVoltaics have been used in order to create zero-energy houses. It was designed for the certification Miljöbyggnad Guld. which is the highest rating (Guld=Gold).
The 64 apartments will mainly consist of space-efficient twos and threes, but even fours.
The project size is around 5300 m2.
The project won the award "Framtidens fastighet 2017" (=The property of the future) and was nominated to the Solar Energy Prize 2018.
The project is situated in Hammarbyhöjden, a suburb to Stockholm, Sweden.

TermoDeck® System

TermoDeck differs from other energy saving systems because the overall construction cost is lower than conventional buildings as no extra equipment is added.

Thermal energy storage

Thermal energy storage (TES) systems can heavily reduce the installed cooling loads and peak power loads.

Energy efficient buildings

TermoDeck® Buildings fulfill high requirements from an energy, enviromental and thermal comfort perspective.

Cost-efficient buildings

Independent reports have been carried out comparing capital costs of TermoDeck and conventional HVAC systems.
