TermoDeck is a building solution

using free energy

to heat and cool the building

An energy efficient solution all year around is achieved due to heat storage of the heat gains in the concrete floor slabs. This allows for free night cooling and off peak cooling while the building will be mainly heated by persons, lights, equipment and sun radiation.

TermoDeck differs from other energy saving systems because the overall construction cost is not higher than conventional buildings as no extra equipment is added.

TermoDeck is proven in all types of climatic conditions around the world and is intended for new buildings.

Advantages are: 20-50% savings in energy consumption and 70-90% reduction of peak cooling loads. Click here for more advantages

80% reduced CO2 emissions

A commercial TermoDeck building in Leeds has been awarded the highest ever BREEAM rating - 87.5%.

According to calculations undertaken by King Shaw Associates, a leading building services and environmental consultancy, the new building will produce just 22kg of carbon dioxide per m2 per year and will emit 80% less carbon than a conventional model office building.

Our initial calculations showed a demand of about 150kW of cooling", Doug King says, "but when you take into account the night cooling using TermoDeck, the cooling load can be reduced to about 50 kW".

BREEAM is the world’s longest standing and most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings. It is a tool that allows the owners, users and designers of buildings to review and improve environmental performance throughout the life of a building. (BREEAM = BRE Environmental Assessment Method)
